About Me
I am here to bring a touch of art into you daily rituals, one piece at a time…
Make every meal a beautiful experience
Clay is the harmonious dance of the four elements: Born from the earth, shaped by water, dry by air, and brought to life by the fire.
Hi, I’m Beatrice a 35-year-old maker driven by imagination and passion for crafting with my hands.
My journey with ceramics began at 14, when I enrolled in art high school in Padua, Italy. It was an unforgettable time, filled with inspiration and growth. From the moment I stepped into the underground ceramics studio with master Antonio Ievolella, I was hooked. I knew I had found my calling.
Around the same age, I received my scout name: Dreaming Seagull. It’s a perfect fit for me—a sea-loving bird that soars with a wide view, always searching for fresh perspectives and new adventures.
Life took me on an exciting detour into nursing, where I worked in emergency care in Udine for seven years. But I never let go of my passion for art. During those years, I met Nicola, my biggest supporter and the spark to my creative fire. In high school, I dabbled in caricatures, handmade jewelry, painted canvases, crafted soft books for kids, and designed custom t-shirts.
In 2021, after welcoming our second child, we took a leap and moved to North Carolina. I decided to leave my nursing career behind and dive into a new adventure. Seven months later, on my birthday, Nicola surprised me with a clay wheel—my dream gift! A fellow ceramicist, Rick, guided me through the basics, while countless videos and trial-and-error sessions taught me the rest. The pottery wheel became my place of challenge and meditation, where many early pieces turned out far from perfect, but they’re now treasured memories of growth.
In January 2024, I took my first formal pottery course at Clayworks in Charlotte, and it transformed my approach. The following month, I joined a weekly class at the Cain Center in Cornelius, learning techniques that brought my skills to a whole new level. Since then, every free moment is spent in my studio, shaping, glazing, and bringing new creations to life. Now, I feel ready and excited to share my work with the world.
